Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Employment Type: Full-Time 
Job Summary of Pharmacy Technician / Assistant:
The Pharmacy Technician supports the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service. This position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities of Pharmacy Technician / Assistant:

  • Assist the pharmacist in filling prescriptions accurately and efficiently.

  • Enter and update patient information and prescription details in the pharmacy system.

  • Process insurance claims and resolve billing issues.

  • Answer customer questions and assist with prescription pick-up and over-the-counter products.

  • Maintain inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, and checking for expired medications.

  • Follow all pharmacy laws, HIPAA regulations, and company policies.

  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy work area.
Qualifications of Pharmacy Technician / Assistant:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • State pharmacy technician certification or ability to obtain certification (as required by law).

  • Previous pharmacy experience preferred, but training available for the right candidate.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
Physical Requirements of Pharmacy Technician / Assistant

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
