Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Forklift Operator to join our team at a steel and aluminum distribution facility in Paducah, KY. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts to load and unload steel and aluminum products from trucks and storage areas.
• Transport materials to designated areas for processing, storage, or shipment.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on forklifts and ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Assist with inventory management by organizing and documenting material locations.
• Safely handle and stack materials to prevent damage or safety hazards.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and shipping schedules.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and equipment handling.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or distribution setting preferred.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Knowledge of steel and aluminum products is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work day or night shifts as needed.
• Must be able to lift and move heavy materials safely.
