Job Description


Transys Machine Operator position in Murray, Kentucky

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor various production machines, such as milling machines, presses, and other equipment, to manufacture components according to specified standards.

  • Measurement and Quality Control: Utilize tools like micrometers and calipers to measure and verify the dimensions of finished products, ensuring they meet quality specifications.

  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and tooling instructions to ensure accurate production processes and adherence to design specifications.

  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on machinery, address operational issues promptly, and collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure minimal downtime.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, maintain a clean work environment, and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required to ensure a safe workplace.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Prior experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating various production machines and familiarity with tools used for measurement and quality control.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.

  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of machinery operation and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.

  • Physical Stamina: Capability to handle physical demands, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.

  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
