Job Description

Job Summary for Shop Technician Labor- 1st Shift:
The Shop Technician Labor will be responsible for the assembly, disassembly, inspection, repair, and maintenance of heat exchangers and other industrial equipment. This role requires hands-on mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety and quality standards in a fast-paced shop environment.
Key Responsibilities for Shop Technician - 1st Shift

  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble heat exchangers and related equipment.

  • Perform welding, grinding, machining, and other shop tasks as needed.

  • Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other shop tools safely.

  • Assist with pressure testing, leak checks, and quality control procedures.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Document all work performed and maintain accurate records.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety regulations.

  • Support field service teams as needed.
Qualifications for Shop Technician Labor- 1st Shift:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred.

  • Previous mechanical, industrial, or fabrication experience (preferred).

  • Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools.

  • Welding and machining experience a plus.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding conditions.

  • Commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.

    Any experience as a shop technician in an industrial or factory setting is helpful, but not required. Labor experience is helpful, as this is a labor focused position.
