Immediate opening for Indoor/Outdoor Maintenance Assistant for local Paducah Housing Development!

This is a full-time, long-term position with opportunity for growth and advancement.

Summary of Maintenance Assistant:

Assists with basic maintenance and repair tasks for building and grounds.  May be responsible for providing support to other Maintenance workers, such as preventative and scheduled maintenance, inspections. 

Duties and Responsibilities of Maintenance Assistant:

• Assists with a wide range of building and grounds inspections to identify needed repairs/replacements
• Lawn Maintenance and Care
• Tests smoke detectors according to manufacturer recommendations, replace batteries and maintain service log of tests and repairs
• Assist with basic plumbing maintenance and repair
• Visually inspects windows, screens, doors, locks, appliances, fixtures, for issues and leaks
• Comfortable standing and walking
• Ability to lift, bend, stretch while gathering or replacing materials
• Performs a variety of other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of Maintenance Assistant:

• Knowledge of basic maintenance and tools
• Ability to perform basic building maintenance tasks
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety measures
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift, bend, stretch

Minimum Qualifications of Maintenance Assistant:

• One year of building, apartment, or grounds experience preferred or mechanical maintenance or equivalent
• Ability to read and write in English
• Valid Drivers’ License
• Ability to lift, bend, stretch

Shift/Hours for Maintenance Assistant:

• Monday- Friday 8a-4:30pm
• $13.00

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE

GED OR HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA

BE ABLE TO PASS DRUG TEST/BACKGROUND
