JOB DESCRIPTION: Machine Operator

LOCATION: Hickory, KY

PAY: $17/HR

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in our manufacturing process? We are seeking a Machine Operator to take charge of operating and monitoring machinery to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards.

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR MACHINE OPERATORS: While the basic training to start, stop, and adjust the machine typically spans one week, mastering troubleshooting processes may take several months of dedicated learning. We provide comprehensive training to equip you with the skills needed to excel in your role.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR MACHINE OPERATORS:

• Safely start up and shut down machinery to prevent damage and maintain operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections, troubleshoot issues, and make minor adjustments to the manufacturing process. Promptly report any malfunctions or irregularities to supervisors or mechanics.
• Complete all tasks outlined in the daily checklist during each shift, ensuring adherence to production standards.
• Accurately fill out production reports to track progress and maintain records.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the work area by conducting equipment cleaning and waste removal daily.
• Proactively inspect the process to identify and address potential problems before they impact production.
• Ensure all assigned tasks are completed on maintenance days to support smooth operations.
• Share your expertise by training and assisting new team members as needed.
• Uphold strict adherence to finished product specifications, ensuring quality standards are met consistently.
• Be prepared to undertake additional duties as assigned by supervisors to support operational needs.

WHEN DOWNTIME OCCURS:

• Take proactive measures to clean up the machine and assist with troubleshooting and basic maintenance tasks.

QUALIFYING CRITERIA FOR MACHINE OPERATORS:

• Possess basic computer skills to navigate relevant software.
• Comfortable with basic mathematical calculations.
• Demonstrated interest in machinery and mechanical components, with a passion for continuous learning.
• Previous experience in an industrial environment is advantageous.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are highly valued.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are essential.
