We are hiring a dedicated Machinist who is committed to safety, efficiency, and craftsmanship.
Position Details - Machining:
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Workweek: 45 hours/week with opportunities for overtime
Hourly Pay: $17 per hour
Key Responsibilities for Machining:
In Machining, you will be responsible for operating a variety of machines such as Lathes, Surface Grinders, Vertical Turret Lathes, Jig Mills, Vertical Machining Centers, and other equipment essential to our manufacturing process. Your day-to-day duties will include reading and interpreting detailed technical drawings and specifications to determine the appropriate setup and machining parameters. You will prepare materials, set up machinery, and ensure each part conforms to strict quality standards.
Using measurement tools, gauges, and inspection equipment is a vital part of maintaining precision, so attention to detail is essential. You will be responsible for handling materials and finished products safely, employing powered trucks, hoists, and manual tools. Accurate execution, safety compliance, and cleanliness are priorities; therefore, routine maintenance, work area cleanup, and scrap disposal are integral parts of your job.
Other essential tasks include verifying dimensions, inspecting finished parts, finishing products with grinders and sanders, and properly storing or disposing of materials and completed parts. Flexibility and teamwork are crucial, as you may assist in various departmental duties and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Qualifications & Physical Demands - Machining:
Prior experience with machining equipment strongly preferred.
Ability to read technical drawings and use measurement tools with accuracy.
Heavy lifting up to 75 lbs. and standing, walking, reaching, bending, climbing, and pulling for extended periods.
Steel-toed boots are required; PPE is provided by the company.
