A Paducah organization is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor! This is a long-term, full time position.
Summary
Operations Supervisor is responsible for event preparation and general maintenance of venue. Individual supervises activities of custodial and operations personnel, including setup/tear down crews within the venue.
Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, supervisor, direct, and exercise general supervision over employees engaged in a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of building, grounds, and equipment of venue.
Supervise and assist in preparation of labor estimate and material costs.
Assist in installation of portable riser systems, basketball floor, ice deck, tables, chairs
Hires, trains, schedules, and provides daily supervision of other crew members and assists in performance evaluations and operations.
Assists in planning, layout, space allotment of various functions such as trade shows, banquets, convention meetings, stage attractions, concerts and other special events.
Other duties as it relates to event preparation and setup.
Qualifications
Must have comprehensive understanding of various aspects of entertainment facility, production and maintenance, including custodial, materials and handling, work scheduling, and event set up/tear down.
Must be familiar with custodial procedures including, MSDS, equipment, proper usage of chemicals and proper personal protective equipment.
Must be skilled in the operation and maintenance of equipment
Must possess the capacity to develop and train subordinate personnel and skilled and semi-skilled employees, including permanent, part time and temporary operations staff
Education and/or Experience
High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
Ability to operate light machinery, such as fork lifts, front end loader, and scrubber.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to operate applicable computer programs to accomplish essential functions of the job
