Oversee all plant customer service and production planning for the site. Responsible for all interaction and communication with the customers for production planning and actual. Responsible for all material procurement for items purchased by the plant. Responsible for all item and finished goods set up in the systems.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Attend and provide information for all customer meetings concerning S&OP and customer service.
This includes different styles of meetings depending on the customer
Ensure daily production is entered into customer systems – based on their timing and requirements
Create and communicate the weekly plant production plan using ‘thoughtful planning’ – that is planning around the constraints and change over issues in the plant to drive greater %PR and lower costs
Lead daily plant and executive team meetings – sharing %PR and Attainment
Maintain and communicate capacity planning for the plant and share issues with plant leadership – ahead of the issue being a reality
Manage MRP (current system) for both MCP Owned materials and Customer Owned materials and communicate issues that will impact production plan
Manager the ordering of MCP Owned materials to meet production needs and space constraints – in particular wax.
Monitor production and %PR in ensure ability to meet attainment now and in the short term – communicate issues as they arrive
Manage systems set up including item set up, BOM creation and production specs
Collaborate with other departments – in particular Production, Logistics, Quality and the Lab
Ensure team is trained for their specific role as well as other all plant training
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Analytical skills to enable pulling data from multiple systems to create production planning based on the data from plant
Good understanding of inventory, MRP, and cash as it relates to ordering and production
Able to speak to customers – even during trying times – and work towards solutions
Understands and has worked in a variety of systems such as MAS, SAP, etc. with a clear understanding of items set up, BOM’s, backflush, inventory impact, etc.
Able to lead a department of people including feedback, training, and, potentially, reorganizing the department
Highly organized, self-motivated, and assertive when appropriate.
Able to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally to facility work through all departments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications(Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Experience utilizing WMS systems (preferably MASS and/or SAP).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Related Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
· 10+ years in manufacturing – liquid filling and/or consumer good preferable
· 5+ Years Planning Manager/Procurement Manager
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires walking, standing, sitting, twisting, bending, squatting, climbing stairs, reaching, pulling, and pushing. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. on occasion. Frequent computer usage and the ability to use both hands and feet, arms, and legs.
