Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:  Tech will be working with both R&D and Quality Departments   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Examination of ingredients and packaging.
  • Daily verification of safety and quality checks on the production floor.
  • Filing and organizing of daily documentation.
  • Attend daily meeting.
  • Manage sample retention.
  • Assist with audits.
  • Follow employee and FSQA initiatives.
  • Perform equipment inspections.
  • Follow both written and verbal directions.   
  • Work in the laboratory
  • Develop and Produce  Concepts 
    • Produce samples to support new trends and launches.
    • Maintain and conduct routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment.
    • Ensuring products and processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. 
  • Check and record data
  • Assist with record keeping.
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting during product development.
  • Work directly with production personnel to determine causes of production issues and run pilots to determine solutions to issues.
  • Conducting rigorous testing and evaluation of new products and processes. 
  • Supervises development of pilot projects for new and existing items.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other departments, such as Production, Marketing and Sales.
  • Other duties assigned by manager, supervisor, or lead.


COMPETENCIES: Data entry and reporting, Mathematical skills, organization, policy enforcement, computer software systems, laboratory equipment, presentation skills, regulatory standards, ability to follow direction, communication, penmanship





EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Education:  High school diploma or equivalent or minimum of 2 years food safety/quality.
Required Experience:  Food Safety/Food Quality, allergens, GMPs
