OVERALL PURPOSE/FUNCTION: Quality assurance Receiving & Releasing technicians focus on providing confidence that quality requirements will be fulfilled which makes sure that a product and its manufacturing process meet the company's quality and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Company and customer compliance standards are being met.
2. Perform regular inspection tests on materials to verify that everything is functioning properly and efficiently.
3. Inspect and test manufactured goods so that they are safe to use and meet or exceed acceptable specifications
4. Ensure quality assurance and regulatory compliance requirements are meet.
5. Perform Quality, Safety, and Housekeeping checks as required.
6. Complete paperwork accurately, legibly, and in a timely manner.
7. Complete individual quality checks.
8. Notification of quality issues to appropriate personnel.
9. Monitoring of quality inspection of items that arrive at the facility from suppliers.
10. Ensuring that the finished goods and raw materials are of the correct quality or specifications before the item even exits or enters the plant is a key aspect and ensuring quality requirements.
11. Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
12. Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
