2. Job Summary:
The Scratch and Dent Warehouse Associate supports the daily operations of the Scratch and Dent department by grading, organizing, and managing returned or damaged HVAC units and related products. This role ensures all scratch and dent inventory is accurately inspected, properly recorded, and safely stored.
The position plays a key role in maintaining product integrity, supporting efficient workflow, and upholding company standards for quality and safety.
3. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Inspect returned products for damage or defects and accurately grade according to company standards.
2. Identify units suitable for resale, repair, or disposal based on condition.
3. Label, organize, and store scratch and dent units in designated warehouse areas.
4. Maintain accurate records of received, moved, and tracked items within inventory systems.
5. Assist with regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy and accountability.
6. Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
7. Follow all warehouse safety policies and report unsafe conditions immediately. 8. Communicate clearly with Leads and Supervisors regarding product conditions or process issues.
9. Support team workflow and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.
10. Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned to support departmental goals.
4. Qualifications
? Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
? Experience: Prior experience in warehouse, returns, or inventory operations preferred.
Certifications/Licenses: None required; forklift certification a plus.
? Skills/Competencies:
? Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
? Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory systems.
? Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.? Reliable, team-oriented, and able to follow directions.
? Commitment to maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
5. Physical and Work Environment Requirements
? Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and lift or move up to 75 lbs.
? Work performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and moderate noise levels.
? Comfortable using hand and power tools.
? Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.? Safety-focused mindset with commitment to proper procedures.
? Must adhere to all company safety protocols and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
? Minimal travel required
