TITLE: Software Project Manager

JOB RESPONSBILITIES: Under the leadership of the Department Director, this position is responsible for managing the discovery, design, testing, and deployment of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software through Software as a Service (SaaS) providers and third-party applications used throughout the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate from an accredited four-year college or university and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in software support or development. Four years or more of professional or specialized technical experience in software support or development may be substituted for degree requirements.

B.S. or B.A. with major study in fields of Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering with a minimum of two years of practical experience; and/or any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates a thorough knowledge of software development and/or support.

ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES:

· Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) as you will be interacting with various developers, analysts, and project managers.

· Responsible for delivering small to large projects on-time, on budget, while meeting functional and quality specifications

· Consult with teams to determine software solution requirements

· Lead a team of software and hardware support personnel

· Evaluate software solutions

· Develops and owns the project schedule

· Responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating project team members to achieve a high level of performance and quality

· Manage the discovery, design, testing, and deployment of software solutions

· Manage the installation and configuration of software solutions

· Conduct regular team meetings to review progress and to identify potential obstacles to completion

· Provide consultative support and advise on projects through the various project phases

· Manage software release life cycle

· Communicate timely and accurate status to stakeholders through meeting documentation, status updates, team meetings, project updates, and project schedules

· Oversee training of end users

· Determine go-live readiness based on user testing and solution requirements

· Define and work collaboratively with software project teams

· Work with cross functional Technology Departmental Teams as needed to support enterprise initiatives

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position may require the ability to carry light to medium weight equipment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of the principles, practices, terminology and trends in software development; develop and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors,

departmental personnel, and the general public. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.

· Must be able to lead multiple projects at a time

· Must have experience working in a SaaS environment or with a SaaS provider

· Must have previous software management experience

· Must have previous experience working in a software support role
