Warehouse Supervisor - 2nd Shift 

• Provides daily direction and leadership to the warehouse team members

• Makes recommendations for manpower needs including involvement in recruitment and selection process as well as employee terminations in the warehouse.

• Accountable for training, motivation and leadership within area of responsibility

• Develops a teamwork environment

• Builds departmental standards for performance

• Ensures that all employees in the warehouse are properly trained.

• Establishes and maintains procedures for determining and meeting company and customer delivery commitments by handling materials, providing labor, and effective use of time.

• Recommends and assists in implementing operating procedures and promotes continual improvement within the department and the company.

• Follows shipping and receiving methods for materials using the operations procedures 

• Resolves emergent issues for expedited deliveries to the customer and/or job site.

• Monitors the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of shipments and receipts.

• Interfaces with other departments to resolve problems with timely delivery or disposition of order cancellations. 

• Ensures that daily goals are met and sustained daily/weekly/monthly.

• Ensures company policies and procedures are reviewed often and notifies the Distribution Manager when such policies or procedures may need to be revised to increase work efficiency in the department. 

• Identifies roadblocks to processes and procedures and offers suggestions for improvement.

• Promotes a safe work environment and ensures that all employees in the warehouse are following safety rules and regulations.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel required. Data entry a must.

• Knowledge of and experience with all inbound I outbound functions, packaging materials.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Strong and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to follow and issue verbal and written instructions and to direct the work of others to meet company needs.

• Ability to work well under pressure and juggle multiple and changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Great attention to detail

• Reliability and willingness to work 50+ hours a week to meet deadlines when needed

• Ability to build strong internal relationships with other departments

• Ability and willingness to take imitative

• Strong and demonstrated leadership skills
